Stay In Love:
A Romantic Fantasy Set to Music

Minnie discovered she had breast cancer while making "Adventures In Paradise" and soon after she had a modified mastectomy.  After some time spent healing, Minnie was back in the studio recording her fourth solo album, "Stay In Love: A Romantic Fantasy Set To Music"  Minnie was back and the spirit of  her music was stronger than ever!
The first single released from this album was "Young Willing and Able", and for the time it was quite apropos.  The woman's movement was in full effect, we (us girls, that is) were wearing our five inch heels,  flowing dresses with slits up the side, and kicking both at the local disco.

Yes, we were all "Young, Willing and Able... too hot to trot".  But that wasn't all that  Minnie was representing.  After all, this was a romantic fantasy set to music, and that is exactly what it delivered.

Teaming up, once again, with Stevie Wonder and Leon Ware, the upbeat "Stick Together" and the angelic "Can You Feel What I'm Saying?" (respectively) made the charts in 1977.  Of course, the title track (my favorite) "Stay In Love" was fairly popular.  Perhaps encouraging people to do the most they can do is a bit much : )

This album was void of liner notes, then again, this album spoke very clearly lyrically and musically.   Whether you are in love, out of love, never been in love, or perhaps even fed-up with love, this album is for you.  With the loving energetic spirit of Minnie Riperton as your musical guide, you'll fall in love with love again!
